Exquisite, Informal, and Affordable Wedding Dresses

beautiful-old-fashioned-wedding-dress.jpg Back in the olden days, wedding dresses were very restricted by tradition. If the concept of informal wedding dresses ever entered the equation fifty or a hundred years ago, the thought was of a dress that didn’t have a veil or a train, certainly nothing too radical. Wedding dresses were white, frilly, and they had full skirts that reached the ground, and there were no low cut necklines.

Fortunately, we’re no longer slaves to these constraining wedding fashions. Of course, those old styles still exist as the bridal magazines are full of them. Admittedly, traditional wedding gowns can be stunning and beautiful. But these days there are so many other options, and you don’t have to limit yourself to what worked for your mom and grandmother. Informal gowns come in a wide range of styles, colors, and fabrics. While the wide range of modern bridal gowns might be overwhelming, you’ve got plenty of time to choose — and it’s better to have too much to choose from than too little.

While dress styles for weddings were once quite limited, their prices were not. The dresses had sky-high prices. Although no wedding gown is likely to be inexpensive – these days you can save a substantial amount if you’re careful and do your research. Today, there are lovely discount wedding gowns of all kinds, which can be found even online. Sensible and thorough shopping can reveal an incredible array of styles for much, much less than you would expect. Even if you have a large wedding budget, wouldn’t you rather save some of that money for the honeymoon? Or on other things like wedding favors, caterers, décor, flowers, etc?

And you can even set aside even more money for your honeymoon if you’re careful when buying your forever jewelry. Diamond engagement rings, for example, can also be purchased at bargain prices. So here’s the question: Which would you prefer, one week in Cancun, or two?
