Fairy Tale Weddings Were Once Upon A Time

yhst-96972159295690_2083_63734409.gif Wedding attire choices for women have become less traditional and more of personal preference. Brides are now looking for sleek and relatively simple gown or dress styles. Favored are both plain yet elegant gowns or dresses and gowns or dresses adorned with crystal, pearls and lace.

There are various reasons as to why brides are moving away from fairy tale gown or dress styles, and instead going with elegant simplicity as the preferred choice for brides. Today's working, price conscious brides want to stick to a budget, however, they do not want to sacrifice style or beauty, but they do want a lot of value for their money.

In regards to destination weddings, which are now more popular than ever before, brides appreciate that these elegant yet simple styles can safely be transported and look fresh and clean upon arrival at the wedding destinations. Today's brides prefer to keep their own and their bridesmaids’ jewelry to a minimum, choosing Swarovski crystal, classic pearls clusters, or pearl strand necklaces, with matching earrings. Replicas of celebrity tiaras, as well as tiaras studded with crystal or pearls are quite popular.

Currently, more and more couples are planning theme weddings that express their interests and uniqueness. Many combine their heritage, religion and traditions into their wedding theme, or use them as the central point of both the ceremony and reception. Others choose their theme to coincide with their wedding location. Yet others who plan a family wedding concentrate on having their children represented. These reasons are all contributors as to why brides are opting for different style dresses and weddings.

Whether dictated by the couple's interests, background or location, the bride and groom like to have their photo album, guest book, unity candles, pen set, flower basket, ring pillow, bridal purse, garter, cake topper, centerpieces and decorations represent their theme. In fact, the trend is to have as many accessories actually match as a set or a collection, rather than just an assortment of complementing items.
